On Monday, May 26, 2025, an informative and engaging presentation was held at the Olive Oil Agricultural Cooperative of Molaoi–Pakia, organized by Synelixis in collaboration with agricultural consultant Mrs. Sofia Apostolaki. The session focused on the capabilities and benefits of SynField, one of the most advanced and comprehensive solutions for precision agriculture, remote irrigation control, irrigation network monitoring, and water quality management—delivering high-tech innovation directly to the everyday needs of farmers.
During the event, Mr. Konstantinos Pramataris demonstrated how SynField enhances crop efficiency and sustainability by leveraging real-time data and automation. One of the core advantages presented was the system’s ability to continuously monitor climatic and soil conditions—particularly soil moisture levels across irrigation zones. This allows olive producers to remotely automate irrigation based on precise needs, significantly reducing water and energy consumption.
Additionally, Mr. Pramataris emphasized SynField’s role in plant health management. The collection of microclimate data enables early detection of conditions conducive to pests and diseases, supporting timely and targeted interventions. He also highlighted an innovative Synelixis development: the use of smart traps for monitoring olive fruit flies. These traps are equipped with cameras that capture images at regular intervals and send them to the SynField online platform, where machine learning algorithms perform advanced analysis to detect pest presence.
