Synelixis brings technology to the heart of urban green spaces, completing the installation of SynField and SynNano devices in a 3-acre public park in the Municipality of Aigaleo (https://www.aigaleo.gr/). This project clearly demonstrates how innovation can transform the management of green spaces in modern cities.
With the goal of optimizing the use of natural resources and enhancing citizens’ quality of life, the park has been equipped with smart devices that monitor climatic, environmental, and soil conditions in real time, measure irrigation water consumption, and manage irrigation across nine distinct zones with precision and reliability.

Solution Highlights and Overview
Through the combined deployment of SynField and SynNano, the park is equipped with:
- Environmental and soil sensors for continuous monitoring of critical parameters (temperature, humidity, electrical conductivity)
- Pressure and flow sensors for real-time monitoring of the irrigation network
- Zone-specific irrigation, tailored to the actual water needs of each area of the park
- Remote control of solenoid valves via the SynField web platform and dedicated mobile applications (iOS/Android)
- Historical data and analytics, supporting informed decision-making and long-term planning
Benefits for the Municipality and urban green spaces
The implementation delivers multiple advantages:
- Reduced water consumption through precision irrigation
- Improved plant health thanks to timely and accurate watering
- Remote monitoring of the park, minimizing the need for on-site interventions
- Full visibility and transparency in park management
- Support for sustainable and environmentally responsible practices
Another step toward “smart cities”
This installation in the Municipality of Aigaleo is yet another example of how IoT technology and digital tools can be effectively applied in urban environments, contributing to the development of more resilient, greener, and smarter cities.
Synelixis S.A. continues to invest in solutions that bridge technology and the environment, delivering innovative tools for the smart management of natural resources—both in agriculture and in urban green spaces.
