
As part of the modernization and optimization of urban green management in the Central Square of Astakos, the integrated SynField solution by SYNELIXIS was installed on July 18, 2026. The goal is the remote monitoring of environmental conditions, irrigation optimization, water resource conservation, and the continuous supervision and management of the irrigation network’s operation.
SynField is a comprehensive platform for irrigation management and environmental parameter monitoring, providing real-time automation capabilities through an online platform and mobile applications.
The Installed Solution
In order to fully meet the needs of the Central Square, a total of seven (7) monitoring and control stations were installed, which communicate with each other via LoRa wireless network. The installation consists of:
- 1 SynField X5 head node
- 6 SynNano peripheral nodes
The installed architecture provides full coverage of all landscaped areas in the town square, minimizing cabling requirements while offering excellent scalability for future expansion. The central control station operates autonomously using solar power and communicates with the SynField cloud platform through a cellular (SIM) connection. The following diagram illustrates the SynField digital ecosystem and how the installed devices seamlessly communicate with each other.

The seven stations were installed in strategically selected parts of the square in order to ensure:
- Full coverage of all irrigation zones,
- Reliable wireless communication;
- Easy access for maintenance,
- Possibility of expanding the system.
Remote Monitoring and Intelligent Control
The SynField cloud platform enables centralized access to field data, along with complete remote monitoring and control of the irrigation system. Available through a secure web interface and dedicated mobile applications for Android and iOS, it provides users with continuous access to the system from anywhere.
Authorized users can monitor real-time sensor data, review historical measurements and reports, and remotely configure irrigation schedules, activate or deactivate irrigation zones, and adjust operating parameters, ensuring efficient water management and seamless system operation.
